2-D: Gargoyle Reflection. March 6, 2013
1. I feel like I did a good job with my color because I mixed a few together and they are very bright.
2. I could have done a better job smoothing it out because it is bumpy. I also could have done a better job painting because it smeared all over.
3. My gargoyle has groups of 3, such as the eyeballs and the hair spikes. I just started designing and that's how it ended up. He is sticking is tongue out so he is silly.
4. My gargoyle is in the shape of a cylindar. He is about two fists big. I chose that size because it was easy to work with.
5. I have a bunch of random colors. I have blue, purple, orange, yellow, and pink and they are all pretty bold. I think it works good with the silliness because they are random and bright.
6. I learned that I need to take my time with painting because it looks bad if you rush. That could be applied to life in general because you should take your time with everything so it turns out okay.
7. First I wedged my clay. Then I created two pinch pots and combined them. That formed the cylindar shape so I just kept it that way. I then added all of the features and tried to smooth it out. I had to get the hair wet again to be able to clean it up. It was then fired and I chose a bunch of random colors to paint it. Nothing bad really happened along the way, it went as planned.
8. I thought this was an okay project. I think its fine the way it is although it gets very frustrating.
